Thalia wanted to do something special for the launch of her new fashion line, the Thalia Sodi Collection for Macy’s, and used Facebook to give fans an exclusive first look.
“I decided to do this fashion show for my Facebook fans because they are like my big, huge and amazing family that make me happy every single day,” Thalia said when asked why she decided to give fans the first look at her collection on Facebook.
The event in New York was live streamed on Facebook to the nearly 15 million people connected with her Page, and Thalia responded to fan questions in real time throughout the night via Facebook Mentions to include them in the launch.
She also used the app to share backstage moments, leading up to the show.
Highlights from Thalia’s fashion show, including fan reactions, have also been shared on Facebook in English and Spanish.
