Now more than ever, people are watching, sharing and expressing themselves with video on Facebook. We’re now seeing more than four billion video views every day. The White House posted a clip of President Obama’s remarks with comedian Keegan-Michael Key at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, and it became the most-watched Facebook video ever published by a government or political organization in the US.
In just the first 36 hours, the “Anger Translator” video:
- Reached 88 million people on Facebook,
- Garnered more than 27 million views, and
- Generated 2.9 million likes, comments, and shares.
Selecting a funny, visually dynamic clip and providing context in the text component of the post helped the White House dramatically extend the reach of this video.
