Earlier this month, we made Facebook Mentions available to verified profiles to help journalists and other influencers engage with their followers and see what people are saying about them and the topics they care about.

Today, we’re adding the ability for journalists and content creators using Mentions to see what people are saying about their articles on Facebook, even if the person doesn’t mention the author by name. As a journalist, you can use this feature in your mentions feed to get a sense of how people are reacting to your articles and connect with them directly.

To see what people are saying about your articles, you can:

  1. Implement the author tag on your website to connect your Facebook Profile or page to your bylined posts and articles. The author tag only requires one additional line of code in the header section of your webpage. The author tag is also used for helping grow your audience, by connecting you to your readers on Facebook. In addition to using the author tag, in the future we hope to make it even easier for you to see what people are saying about your articles.
  2. Get Facebook Mentions and visit your mentions feed to see what people are saying about your articles.
