Last night, Ricky Gervais hosted the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.  The biggest night for film and TV was also one of the most talked about on Facebook.

Over 9 million people generated more than 19 million interactions (posts, likes and comments) related to the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 10.  Here are the most talked-about moments on Facebook related to the Golden Globes:

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and NBC used Facebook and Instagram to give fans an exclusive look at the Golden Globes.

On the red carpet, stars such as Alicia Vikander, Viola Davis and Kevin Hart stopped by the official Facebook arrivals platform to answer fan questions before they made their way into the ballroom. This year, the platform included a custom 360 camera that captured never before seen 360 views of the red carpet and the night’s biggest names:

Backstage, acclaimed photographers Inez & Vinoodh captured the winners and presenters in the Official Golden Globes Instagram portrait studio for the official Instagram account.

Instagram also featured videos of the best moments of the awards in an Explore section, “The Golden Globes: An Inside Look.”

In the press room, the Golden Globes used Facebook Live video to give fans a chance to ask a question of their favorite winners including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, Brie LarsonGael Garcia Bernal and Lady Gaga.
