On June 3rd, the world stood still as the news was shared that the legendary fighter Muhammad Ali had passed away. Often described as the “Greatest of All Time,” Ali’s legacy transcends his boxing career as he is often considered one of the most culturally influential athletes in history. As a result, millions of people from around the world turned to Facebook to share their favorite memories of the inspirational figure. In the first 24 hours after Ali’s passing, over 48 million people around the world posted, commented, liked, and shared stories about the heavyweight champion over 110 million times.
