Global Influencers Share 2016 Book Recommendations For #ReadToLead

Of the books that you read in 2016, which ones helped shape your perspective on leadership?

Earlier this month, we posed this question to some of the top influencer and thought leaders in the world. Our #ReadToLead campaign aimed to connect influencers with Facebook’s community of readers, which includes over 230 million people who are connected to at least one author’s Facebook Page.

62 global influencers across distinct industries, including Beth Comstock, Richard Branson, Ariana Huffington, Joi Ito, and Mohamed A. El-Erian, shared recommendations for 231 books.

The most recommended books of the year:

  2. Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant
  3. Team of Teams: New Rules of Engagement for a Complex World by General Stanley McChrystal
  4. Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by JD Vance
  5. The Industries of the Future by Alec Ross
  6. Freakonomics by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt
  7. Writing my Wrongs: Life, Death, and Redemption in an American Prison by Shaka Senghor
  8. The Gene: An Intimate History by Siddhartha Mukherjee
  9. Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing
  10. Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose by Tony Hsieh
  11. Conscious Business: How to Build Value through Values by Fred Kofman
