Addressing Fake News Globally

Last month we announced some tests to address the issue of fake news on Facebook. In the next few weeks we’ll be starting to roll out these updates in Germany. We will continue testing this in Europe alongside other solutions in more countries around the globe, now including France. We’ll learn from these tests in these regions, and iterate and extend them over time.

It’s important to us that the stories you see on Facebook are meaningful to you. We’re excited about this progress, but we know there’s more to be done. We’re going to keep working on this problem and will keep you updated on other updates.
